If for instance ST has an issue to the rear of the vehicle, then it's a lot of fiddly nonsense to try and hold the mouse to pan the view around then find a point on the truck to first connect to THEN find a tree. If you find yourself about to topple over in MR you can instantly attach a winch just by 'looking' at trees 360 degrees and points to anchor on both truck -rear/front/sides will automatically appear along with the nearest suitable tree(s) It's a brilliant feature. By then the truck has sunk or toppled over. Then trying to pan the view with mouse to *find* a tree to attach it to, then go back to joypad or keyboard to then *pull* the winch -taking off 'advanced mode' to accelerate first!. You cannot connect a winch without first enabling 'advanced mode' be it shoulder on joypad or keyboard. ST get's a lot of it's difficulty from it's archaic mouse/keyboard AND Joypad use. I happily go between both, but it's the ability to attach a winch (to any visible tree) pull and disconnect (all in one) it from cab view (and external view) that blows ST away! I just love that feature. MuRunner allows you to actually see the curvature of the land your travelling on, whereas SpinTires just topples over because it doesn't convey angles at all very well. Yet they didn't go building these sims without a cockpit or in SH3 case, a command room and periscope!! F1,Flight sims,GTAV,Mudrunner,Gold Rush,UBoat,Silent Hunter 3 just reeled off all have an internal view and an external view. All good sims have an external/internal view. That's why people made mods in the early days. It's an option that people were SCREAMING out for from PavelOovee to implement.
